Delanee White
Hope Ambassador
Hi! I’m Delanee White, and I am absolutely thrilled to be a Hope Ambassador for Lighthouse for Hope.
In December 2020, my world turned upside down when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I had to leave my college dorm, unenroll from classes, and endure months of grueling chemotherapy and radiation. By August 2021, I was declared cancer-free—but survivorship brought its own set of challenges. My mental health was at an all-time low, and I felt lost.
That all changed in 2022 when I had the incredible opportunity to attend Lighthouse’s Illuminate Retreat in Hawaii. That experience was truly life-changing. Lighthouse gave me exactly what I needed—a community that saw me, understood me, and supported me. The trip helped kickstart my healing in ways I never expected, and I will forever be grateful for the people I met, the donors who made it possible, and the chance to rediscover myself after cancer.
Now, as a Hope Ambassador, I’m committed to giving back and ensuring that other young cancer warriors get the same life-changing support that Lighthouse gave me. Join me in making a difference—every donation helps bring hope, healing, and community to those who need it most.
